How can I make sure that if somebody cancels they get the product until the end of their billing cycle? [closed]

If somebody cancels a membership, I want them to be able to finish out their time that they paid for before shutting them down. I can do this by entering a date in a field for the rules to fire, but I was hoping to be able to avoid that?
